With an all St. Francis Sayers Cup final clash held at the Hurstpierpoint Social Club, the B team came determined to cause a major upset. It looked like they were going to take a nip and tuck first frame as Steve Grasso cued up with the opportunity to take the blue, pink and black, surprisingly he failed to pot the blue which saw Ed Lee stepping in with a superb long pink finish to clinch a 46-36 win.
The next two frames saw the A team show their prowess when they powered to a 3-0 victory with Paul Bate beating John Friere 78-21 followed by Tim Pang winning 78-15 against Dave Burrows. The non playing members of the A team were Ajay Pochun and Jim Mable, for the B team Steve Williams and Andy Standing with Dennis Wakeford being the match referee.
